The carpets produced in the city of Tabriz are characterized by their superior quality. With around 50 knots per cm2, this city is the capital of Oriental rugs production.
The predominant figures are based on the central medallions with floral figures, although there are also some Tabriz carpets with geometric figures, fighters and excerpts from fables with animals. Other carpets considered of great value are those that include domes of mosques, being these articles more inserted in environments like hotels, imperial palaces, etc.
The material used is cotton, wool and, for the most part, includes silk.
The predominant background colors are pink, peach, camel, beige and ivory. However, the motifs drawn include blue, green, yellow, and orange. The prevailing colors of these rugs, however, are pastels.
